CLUB NAME
The club will be called Hoosier Deaf Bikers (HDB), and the name will NEVER change forever. We will not merge into another clubs.
CLUB BENEFITS
* Only HDB members can purchase HDB PATCHES and be listed as a biker on our website.
* Only HDB members can vote for HDB Officers
* Only HDB members can become HDB Officers.
HDB OFFICERS
There are FOUR club officers. They are elected by the HDB brotherhood (with at least TEN bikers present) during the annual PTCO Day event. Their terms are for ONE YEAR which begins and ends on the annual PTCO Day event. All Officers must LIVE in Indiana and are active members of HDB for the last TWO years straight.
The Officers are Advisor, Treasurer, Trustee, and Information.
All issues, suggestions, complaints, etc., from the brotherhood MUST be sent to your Officers. Your officers will be responsible for resolving them.
Officers can be removed by ONE of THREE WAYS :
1. THREE remaining votes from other Officers
2. By more than TEN votes from active HDB brothers during a major HDB event
3. By more than TEN votes from active HDB brothers during a PUBLIC-ANNOUNCED emergency brotherhood meeting.
PTCO DAY
This day is HDB’s ANNUAL event where Officers’ terms end and vote for new Officers can take place. If there are less than 10 active brothers, the current Officers must discuss alternatives or volunteer to hold position for another year.
OTHER CLUB EVENTS
Any active HDB brothers can host any biker events at any time. Just be sure to provide information/flyer to the Information Officer to be placed on our website.
For booths or tables for any events, ANYBODY can host it or be responsible for it, as long as it is APPROVED by the HDB Officers.
Any money earned by any Events will pay all expenses related to the event, or approved charities. Any profits are to be turned over 100% to the HDB Treasurer.
CLUB MERCHANDISE
If the brotherhood wants to use HDB funds to purchase merchandise for members or to sell, the merchandise MUST be biker-related (t-shirts, patches, logos, etc.).
For the PTCO Day event, only 2 merchandises can be sold at the same time (unless we have leftover merchandise from last year, which can be sold at any time).
HDB FUNDS
The HDB Officers can decide to use some HDB funds to help the operations of HDB (for example website cost, etc.).
All revenues from all our events, sales, and fund raising must be provided to HDB Treasurer for record- keeping and safe-keeping.
HDB Trustee must review with HDB Treasurer to ensure all records are in order.
Any charities contributed by HDB MUST be for any organizations within INDIANA .
EMAIL
The club will NO LONGER maintain email address lists. It is difficult to practice KISS philosophy because of many issues. It is simply too hard to maintain an accurate email lists (people moving or changing addresses all the time). It also prevents access to information for anyone (member or not member) that happens not to be on the email list.
So, HDB will NO LONGER collect our emails, or depend on emails to spread information. All information (news, announcements, etc.) will always be on our web site, which can be viewed by all.
WEBSITE
The website will be www.hoosierdeafbikers.com. The Information Officer will be responsible for the Website. The website will be accessible by all HDB Officers. The website will hold club history, membership list, rules, news, event information, and any other information.
